There is a pinout diagram (or legend) of the charger’s plug on the charger’s plastic housing. Despite the unique plug, the GBA-SP actually uses a very basic AC-DC power-supply that provides 5.2 volts DC @ 320mA. 5.4 VDC is the charger’s measured open circuit output voltage. I assume it drops to ~5.2V once loaded.
GBA SP 101 charging issue. When I plug the charger into the GBA SP 101; the orange light blinks for about a second and then turns off. I've tried different batteries. I've used a known working, official charger, I've replaced both F1 and F2 fuses, I've refreshed the solder on EM8 and the pins on the charging port, and I see no corrosion or Charge ports of the mini and micro USB variety fail all the time (so much so that I keep a bunch in stock) but the SP is pretty solid. So I figured I’d replace it since I had the part. It was pretty stuck and I ended up removing the pads on the charger port on accident. Is there any way I can fix this? It certainly is possible, given the fact that chinese BT transmitters usually are pretty small and most of it is the battery anyway. I wouldn't want to damage the working adapter, plus it would need to connect to the different port so it needs modding (and possibly still use the link port for power), but this sounds pretty doable.
